The Ocean Gardens Hotel is situated about 10 minutes from the city centre, with a magnificent view over the bay of Funchal.
The Hotel has 47 well-decorated rooms, classic in style, being twin rooms, double bed or single, all equipped with double glass windows, air conditioning (heat and cold), phone, mini-bar (on request), safe , cable TV (30 channels) , gardens, outdoor swimming pool with salt water, sauna, Jacuzzi and free parking.
The Hotel offers two bars and a private breakfast room with a panoramic as well as an International À la Carte Restaurant with Portuguese specialties and Regional cuisine also with a view over the bay of Funchal.
The Ocean Gardens Hotel is situated about 15 minutes from the airport and more or less 10 minutes from the centre of Funchal and provides a daily Courtesy Bus into the centre of Funchal and back.
There is also public bus services, where the bus stop is at the entrance of the Hotel.

When you leave the airport, take the highway (via rápida) in the direction of Funchal. Drive all the way until you reach exit nº 15 CANCELA / GARAJAU, ride up und turn right at the crossing at the end of the exit road, this road leads you to a roundabout, get in the roundabout and leave at the sign HOTEL, which is in the direction of Funchal, go right in front until you see another sign with HOTEL written on, turn left down the road in the direction of Funchal, go past the entrance of the highway to Funchal, go straight ahead always in the direction of Funchal (it's a secondary road, that's why you don't take the highway) take note that both roads leads you to Funchal. Go always in front and after a viewpoint named the Pináculo, you'll see a little further the Hotel Ocean Gardens on the left-hand side of the road.
