The Portuguese Discoveries Landmark was a landmark that the Portuguese left whenever they discovered a new location, the pattern of the discoveries of Santos was offered by the Portuguese Colony of Santos and was inaugurated in 1933 during the commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the foundation of São Vicente. It is located inside an islet at the tip of Praia do Gonzaguinha, close to Biquinha de Anchieta.
