Quarteira stream at the foot of Paderne Castle

The Quarteira stream takes its name because it flows close to the town of Quarteira, but it only gets its name from the junction of two streams not far from the village of Paderne.
Up to the junction of the two streams, one rises in Alte, called up to the junction of Ribeira de Alte and the other rises in Algibre, called up to the junction with the stream of Alte as ribeira de Algibre.
These streams usually only have water in the winter and spring period, in some (rare) years there is water until the beginning of summer.
